Coast By Coast — a repurposed 1972 VW van turned bus-tique — is popping up this Friday October 23rd to Sunday October 25th, 11am-7pm, at South Street Seaport to kick off its cross-country road trip. The van, founded by former Stylesight Editor Jordana Longo and former Victoria’s Secret Buyer Kristen Cleary, is a lifestyle shop inspired by the nomadic nature of the swim, surf and coastal culture. Aboard the bus find Kore Swim, Tori Praver Swimwear, Jill Platner jewelry, Earth Tu Face’s old world botanicals as well as Proper Assembly, Indego Africa and maps by Archie’s Press. Prices range from $10 – $300.
Coast by Coast garnered a cult following this summer from doing events at Montauk Beach House, Donna Karan’s Urban Zen in Sag Harbor, McCarren Pool in Williamsburg and in the Rockaways. The Coast by Coast pop up is in collaboration with We Are Pop Up, the London-born creative retail platform who launched in New York City last week, as well as Pop Up Mob and Seaport Studios. We Are Pop Up is spearheading the creative retail movement in London and New York by connecting brands with the most innovative storeowners. Include storeowners who ride the open road.
